Hi Scott,
My name is Janet. When you got injured, I started a Facebook Support page for you. I go daily and I update it as soon as something comes up about you in the news or an article or when you have new followers.
When I first heard what happened to you, I searched for a page on Facebook to your name and couldn't find one, so I made this one for you on November 2nd. I hope you don't mind. My intentions were to send it to you once you recovered and I thought you might like to see it now since you're well on your way. I looked for your date of birth but couldn't find it or I would have written it on there in case your birthday came up.
I added a friend as another admin (his name is Joseph) I didn't know how long I would have access to the internet because my husband and I are living in uncertain circumstances (unemployed, facing homelessness and sick) Hopefully they won't turn for the worst but because we're on his last tier unemployment check, and of that the last check and little prospects of a job, I wanted to give you the page before things get even more hectic.
here is the link to the page.
I wanted to tell you HOW much I appreciate what you did and do and the strength you had after standing up for our rights and facing such a senseless and awful injury. You represent my husband and myself, as you do millions of Americans facing the same demise and for that I am extremely grateful!
I will keep up with your page until I have no more internet.
I wish you the best of luck, a FULL and QUICK recovery and once again, THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR EVERYTHING! You are my personal hero. Your page originally said "national hero Marine Scott Olsen" but your fellow marines advised that you would probably feel better if I didn't write that, because if you were a Marine, you most likely felt that you were doing your duty and nothing more... but you are still a hero in my eyes.
Semper Fi!
Janet♥
PS I cried so much when this happened because you remind me so much of my own sons. I have three about your same age. I'm so happy you've recovered so well thus far!
